The Feminist SIG is focused on creating a space for dialogue around matters concerning gendered experiences within our culture. Specifically, we discuss ways gender may affect our clients, clinical work, and professional experiences. All gender identities welcome.
The group is facilitated by Dr. Amanda Cassil and Dr. Adrienne Meier, who are both in private practice in Pasadena. Dr. Cassil founded STEM Psychological Services and does individual counseling with women and underrepresented minorities in STEM fields. Dr. Meier specializes in neuropsychological and forensic assessment and has also been active in the broader psychological community through activities such as co-founding National Psychotherapy Day, advocating on the state level through California Psychological Association (CPA), and serving on the CPA Division I, SGVPA and APA Division 41 boards.
The Feminist SIG meets on a quarterly basis, typically on a Monday evening. Meetings are held in Pasadena, CA and the exact address is provided to those who RSVP to events.
Please contact Dr. Cassil at [email protected] or Dr. Meier at [email protected] with any questions.
